2023 started off crazy...

The OGL madness hit and resolved in a month, and yet the panic and anxiety the controversy left in its wake was real. I feel especially for those creators whose primary (or even secondary) livelihoods depended OGL content, but I won’t lie, being in the middle of a 5e conversion (and the original version being a PF1/3.5 compatible product) left me pretty damn stressed. But it seems to have worked itself out. The Creative Commons is the absolute best possible result of that mess.

We live in a truly strange time, and a good one for people in this hobby. The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 just dropped (and was wonderful, RIP Lance Reddick as Thordak), the D&D movie actually sounds like it is going to be good?!, and more and more people are learning what TTRPGs are and how much fun they can be. Really looking forward to the next year.

Speaking of! Finally finished the 2nd major revision of the 5e Kazarim Campaign Setting. Playtesting some of the big changes now, gathering art, and getting ready to finalize it enough to launch a Kickstarter this autumn or maybe winter.
